What my myth is?

The snake around Shiva’s neck. There are several stories around this legend but the one I believe in is that when the Gods and the Demons were churning the cosmic oceans to obtain the elixir of immortality from its depths, Vasuki, the serpent king allowed them to use him as a churning rope. When they received the elixir from the ocean, Vasuki puked out poison that would fall into the ocean and contaminate the Elixir

This poison was life-threatening and could destroy all creation. In distress, the Gods approached Lord Shiva for help. Shiva consumed the lethal poison to protect the universe. His wife, Goddess Parvati, grabbed the snake and tied it around his neck to prevent him from swallowing it.
